Many modern industrial sites including manufacturing warehouses, distribution centers and port-side storage areas adopt mixed working layouts, where forklift operators need to shift between enclosed indoor storage spaces and semi-open loading, unloading or temporary stacking zones frequently. This cross-scenario operation mode puts forward special requirements for electric forklift use, which are different from single indoor or single outdoor working conditions. Following reasonable operational specifications can effectively reduce equipment wear, avoid safety hazards and extend the service life of the vehicles.
Before starting the daily operation, operators need to complete targeted pre-operation inspection items that fit the mixed working scenarios. For the indoor working part, confirm that the passage is free of scattered packaging debris, oil stains or protruding sundries that may affect the driving stability; check if the load backrest and fork surface are free of burrs that may scratch the stored goods. For the semi-outdoor working part, check the tire tread for embedded gravel or sharp fragments, confirm that the waterproof seals of the vehicle body, battery compartment and control panel are in intact state, and never carry out operation in heavy rain or severe thunderstorm weather that exceeds the preset protection level of the equipment.
During the operation process, adjust the driving and handling parameters timely according to the current scenario. When driving in the indoor storage area, keep the driving speed no higher than the site-specified limit, pay close attention to passing pedestrians and stacking personnel around, and do not lift the cargo to a height that will block the front view of the operator. When entering the semi-outdoor loading and unloading zone, avoid driving on slopes that exceed the allowable load-bearing gradient of the electric forklift, keep the lifting height of the goods as low as possible to prevent accidental falling caused by cross wind. Before the vehicle returns to the indoor operation area from the semi-outdoor zone, stop at the transition zone to clear the sediment, mud or rainwater attached to the tire surface, to avoid scratching the special ground of the indoor warehouse or leaving slippery hidden dangers.
After finishing the daily operation, complete the scenario-adapted post-use maintenance work. First, wipe off the floating dust, rain stains and sundries attached to the vehicle shell and operation handle, check if the battery connection port has trace of damp, and place the vehicle in the designated ventilated and dry storage or charging position. Do not park the electric forklift in the semi-outdoor open area for a long time under direct strong sunlight, as long-term high temperature environment will accelerate the aging of the battery and internal electronic components. All operators should receive professional pre-job training, strictly abide by the load limit requirements of the vehicle, and never carry out over-limit operation that violates equipment specifications.
