Electric forklifts have become one of the most widely used material handling equipment in modern warehousing, manufacturing and distribution scenarios in recent years, for their outstanding advantages of low noise, no on-site exhaust emission and flexible maneuverability. For frontline operators and equipment management personnel, grasping standardized operation and systematic maintenance knowledge can give full play to the equipment’s value, reduce unnecessary operation risks, and cut overall long-term use cost.
Core Pre-operation Check and Operation Norms
Before starting each shift, operators need to carry out a full range of basic inspections, including confirming the remaining battery power, testing the sensitivity of brake and steering system, checking the lubrication status of lifting arm and hydraulic parts, and cleaning up obstacles in the operation visual field. During the operation process, personnel should strictly follow the rated load limit, avoid overloading that may cause damage to the hydraulic structure, adjust the driving speed reasonably according to the ground flatness and personnel flow density of the working area, and send prompt warning when passing through narrow aisles or blind corners. Operators should avoid sudden acceleration or emergency stop as much as possible to keep the operation state stable.
Daily Maintenance and Battery Management Rules
Daily routine maintenance is the core measure to extend the service life of electric forklifts. For the power battery component, users need to follow the corresponding charging specifications, avoid long-term over-discharge, and arrange regular supplementary charging for equipment that has been idle for more than 72 hours. Management personnel need to regularly clean up the dust and residual sundries accumulated on the surface and interior of the equipment, check whether the wiring interface is loose, and prevent water vapor or corrosive substances from contacting the circuit system. It is not recommended to modify the internal circuit structure or load limit parameters of the equipment without professional guidance, to avoid potential safety hazards.
Scenario-based Performance Optimization Suggestions
For special working scenarios, targeted adjustment of operation habits can further improve the operation efficiency of electric forklifts. For low-temperature cold storage working scenarios, appropriate thermal protection measures for the battery can reduce the attenuation of battery performance in low temperature environment. For outdoor operation scenarios, avoid long-term driving in deep water areas to prevent damage to the bottom electrical components. When carrying heavy cargo for a long distance, reasonably plan the transportation route to reduce unnecessary round trips, so as to reduce energy consumption and improve the turnover efficiency of material handling.
