As modern warehouse logistics operation scenarios continue to expand, oversized loads that exceed the rated load of a single electric pallet truck are increasingly common in daily material handling. Improper coordination between multiple operators will easily lead to load slipping, vehicle tipping or even unnecessary safety accidents, so establishing a complete team-lifting coordination mechanism can effectively improve the stability and safety of related operations.
Before the formal team-lifting operation, all participating operators need to carry out full pre-operation assessment together. They need to check the weight distribution, center of gravity position, and outer size of the oversized load in advance, test the flatness of the operation path, the width of the passage, and the obstacle distribution, and reasonably arrange the stress points of each electric pallet truck according to the rated load of each device, to ensure that the load borne by each equipment does not exceed its maximum allowable load value. The team should also agree on unified, clear communication signals in advance, including visual gestures and short-range wireless communication prompts, to avoid ambiguous instructions during the subsequent moving process.
During the formal moving process, all operators need to confirm their respective standing positions first, keep a safe distance from the front of the load, and start the vehicle at an extremely slow synchronized speed. All personnel need to maintain the same forward speed during the whole process, and send status confirmation signals at intervals of about 3 meters during the driving process. When encountering turning, narrow passages or slight slopes, all personnel need to adjust the vehicle speed synchronously according to the pre-agreed instructions, to avoid the load shifting due to inconsistent speed. No operator is allowed to change the operation state of the electric pallet truck without notification during the whole process.
After the oversized load is transported to the target unloading area, all operators need to synchronously decelerate and adjust the vehicle position to ensure that the load can be placed smoothly to the designated support position. After confirming that the load is completely stable, all operators can lower the forks synchronously, and drive the equipment out of the operation area in order. The team can also carry out a simple post-operation summary after the task is completed, sort out the problems encountered in the operation process, and optimize the team-lifting process for subsequent similar oversized load handling tasks.
